In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 different firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with slightly varying foams and densities. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is designed to increase airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a soft texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is offered in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can pick between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what works for you. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and shape on plusher mattresses.
Hybrids usually don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam beds typically do, due to the fact that inner-springs permit motion to more easily move through the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has various foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers help the mattress absorb movement to a large extent. When I tossed and turned next to my spouse, you couldn’t see much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel it, although detection was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still exhibits impressive bounce.
In case you have mobility difficulties, moving around while lying down may be challenging. Traditional memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. But if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You will face some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you’d get with a more conventional memory foam bed as it’s mitigated by the mattress’ supportive pocketed coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around conveniently and get out of bed without too much problem. While there’s some sinkage here, it is not quite as dramatic as it would be about a conventional memory foam mattress. This makes for excellent pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support base of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to reinforce its edges. This produces a flat sleeping surface across the whole mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the edge of the bed. The inner-spring coils are exceptional at setting that firm foundation you require. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you can actually see where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the bed suddenly ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the soft foam uppermost layers, this bed is quite supportive, due to the eight inches of individually-wrapped coils at its base. It is quite effortless to get in and out of the mattress, and I am well–supported when I lay on the border, a big asset for sleep spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The spring coils permit ample airflow, helping to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which usually trap heat, are infused with copper and cooling gel to counteract this common problem. This mattress is a great pick for people who prefer to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of dispersing and isolating warmth, resulting in a sleeping experience that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary smell when it is unboxed. This smell is known as “off-gassing.” You can anticipate to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear quickly.
