This model is more pricey because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options forgo the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ has a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support center.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are exceptional mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 different firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same general construction, but with somewhat different densities and foams. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is designed to improve airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a gentle texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in 3 firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the firmest. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and contour on plusher mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate motion as well as all-foam beds typically do, because inner-springs allow movement to more easily transfer through the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers above its springs. These foam layers help the mattress absorb movement to a large extent. When I turned and tossed next to my colleague, you couldn’t identify much motion in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, but it was minimal. Despite this, the bed still exhibits good bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around in a reclined position can be challenging. Classic memory foam often caused a lot of sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. But if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You may encounter some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d achieve with a more conventional memory foam bed as it’s reduced by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you will sink, but will still be able to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it is not quite as striking as it would be about a normal memory foam mattress. This makes for exceptional pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its edges. This gives a level sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sagging and sinkage at the edge of the mattress. The spring coils are excellent at setting that firm foundation you want. When I moved in various positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you can actually witness where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress abruptly ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the soft foam top layers, this bed is impressively supportive, thanks to the eight inches of pocketed coils in its foundation. It’s super effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the edge, a great advantage for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The spring coils allow adequate airflow, aiding to diminish body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to offset this common issue. This bed is a fantastic match for people who want to rest cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of dispersing and isolating warmth, leading to a resting feeling that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a marked box. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to have a temporary smell when it’s opened. This odor is known as “off-gassing.” You can expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear quickly.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest Bedding provides a 100 night sleep trial on the Alexander Signature Hybrid. The company expects that you keep the mattress for at least thirty days prior to initiating a return. Any delivery expenses will not be refunded. If you opt to go the refund route, Nest will arrange for the bed to be taken and donated to a nearby charity. You’lll only need to provide evidence that the product has indeed been picked up and Nest will give you a full refund. Nest Bedding Twitter
Nest Bedding Warranty
The Alexander Signature Hybrid, along with the other Nest Bedding mattresses, are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. The warranty is non-prorated, which means the company will pay to replace or repair any faulty mattresses, no matter how old it is. Along with the lifetime warranty, Nest Bedding also provides what they call a Lifetime Comfort Guarantee, which is pretty unique. Basically, when the trial period expires, if you abruptly decide you do not like the mattress, the company permits you to exchange the product to get a firmer, softer, larger or smaller version
