In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 distinct firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with somewhat different foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to increase airflow and helps with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a soft texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in 3 firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the firmest. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what works for you. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer beds while lighter people normally discover they can obtain more hug and shape on plusher beds.
Hybrids usually don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses usually do, because inner-springs allow motion to more easily transfer across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has various foam layers on top of its springs. These layers aid the mattress absorb movement to a large extent. When I turned and tossed next to my colleague, you couldn’t identify much movement in her body. She said that she could feel it, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still displays exceptional bounce.
If you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down can be challenging. Traditional memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You will encounter some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its soft foam top layers. But this sinking feeling is different from what you’d receive with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it’s reduced by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of bed without too much problem. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not quite as striking as it would be on a conventional memory foam mattress. This makes for great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its edges. This provides a flat sleeping surface across the whole mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the edge of the bed. The inner-spring coils are great at providing that strong core you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt pretty well-supported. I could feel and you can actually see where I do sink in a quite a bit, but the sinkage in the mattress ends where the coils begin. Despite the soft foam uppermost layers, this bed is very supportive, thanks to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils at its foundation. It’s very effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the border, a great plus for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The spring coils allow adequate airflow, aiding to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which in most cases trap heat, are infused with cooling gel and copper to prevent this frequent issue. This mattress is a great pick for those who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of dispersing and isolating warmth, leading to a resting feeling that’s wonderfully cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is manufactured, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to produce a temporary smell when it’s unboxed. This smell is called “off-gassing.” You should expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the odor should disappear quickly.
