Love & Sleep: The Love & Sleep memory foam mattress is constructed with layers of 2.8 PCF memory foam and polyfoam from the comfort layer. The support center is designed from 1.8 PCF polyfoam. The Love & Sleep is offered in two firmness options: Medium and Luxury Firm.
Alexander Hybrid Luxury Contour: The Alexander Hybrid Luxury Contour highlights a comfort system containing 3 layers: a cover made of 2.5 PCF copper-treated, phase-change gel memory foam; a center layer of 3 PCF polyfoam; and a base layer of 4 PCF memory foam. The support center is built with a high-density polyfoam edge reinforcement and pocketed.
Hybrid Latex: The Hybrid Latex variant features one layer of Dunlop latex in the comfort layer. The support core is made with individually-wrapped coils and a base layer of 1.8 PCF high-density polyfoam. The zippered cover is made with a blend of wool and cotton.
Latex Mattress: The Latex Mattress is offered in ‘Blended Latex’ and ‘Organic Latex’ options; the designs share the same general structure, but vary substantially in terms of price-point with the Organic variant being more expensive. Furthermore, the Latex Mattress is offered in three firmness options. The ‘Soft w/topper’ option features a comfort layer built from soft Dunlop latex, as well as a three-inch Dunlop latex topper. This model is more expensive because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ models go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ has a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are impressive mattresses, especially given the price.

The three different firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with slightly varying foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is designed to increase airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling cloth. This gives a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is offered in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people normally find they can obtain more hug and shape on plusher beds.
Hybrids usually do not isolate motion as well as all-foam mattresses usually do, because inner-springs permit motion to more easily move through the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers help the bed absorb movement to a large extent. When I moved next to my spouse, you could not identify much motion in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still features good bounce.
If you have mobility problems, moving around in a reclined position may be difficult. Classic memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it tough to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You may face some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d achieve with a more traditional memory foam mattress as it’s reduced by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still be able to move around conveniently and get out of bed without too much effort. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not quite as striking as it would be about a conventional memory foam bed. This makes for exceptional pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its perimeter. This gives a level sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the edge of the mattress. The spring coils are exceptional at providing that solid base you want. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I could feel and you can actually witness where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the bed ends where the spring coils start. Despite the plush foam top layers, this bed is quite supportive, thanks to the eight inches of individually-wrapped coils in its foundation. It’s very effortless to get in and out of the mattress, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the edge, a great plus for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils permit sufficient airflow, helping to diminish body warmth. The foam layers, which in most cases trap warmth, are treated with cooling gel and copper to counteract this frequent issue. This bed is a good pick for those who want to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of isolating and dispersing heat, resulting in a resting feeling that’s marvelously cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to have a temporary smell when it’s opened. This smell is known as “off-gassing.” You should expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should fade immediately.
