This model is more expensive because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options forgo the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three distinct firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic structure, but with somewhat varying foams and densities. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to improve airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam in this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a gentle feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people usually discover they can get more hug and contour on softer mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam beds usually do, because springs permit movement to more easily transfer through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has various foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers help the mattress absorb motion to a sizeable extent. When I tossed and turned next to my partner, you couldn’t see much motion in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, but detection was minimal. In spite of this, the mattress still displays good bounce.
If you have mobility difficulties, moving around while lying down may be challenging. Classic memory foam frequently caused so much sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. But if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will face some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d achieve with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it is mitigated by the mattress’ supportive pocketed coil system. This means you will sink, but will still be able to move around easily and get out of the bed without too much work. While there is some sinkage here, it is not as striking as it would be on a normal memory foam bed. This creates exceptional pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to reinforce its edges. This produces a level sleeping surface across the entire mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the bed. The spring coils are excellent at providing that firm base you need. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I could feel and you can actually see where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the mattress abruptly ends where the coils begin. In spite of the plush foam top layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the 8 inches of pocketed coils in its foundation. It’s very easy to get in and out of the mattress, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the border, a big plus for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The inner-spring coils allow sufficient airflow, assisting to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap warmth, are infused with copper and cooling gel to offset this frequent issue. This bed is a good fit for those who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of isolating and dispersing warmth, leading to a resting experience that’s marvelously cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is manufactured, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to produce a temporary odor when it’s unboxed. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You should expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the smell should dissipate immediately.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest provides a 100 night sleep trial on the Alexander Signature Hybrid. Nest expects you to maintain the bed for at least 30 days before initiating a return. Any delivery costs will not be refunded. If you choose to go the refund route, the organization will arrange for the mattress to be picked up and donated to a local charity. You’lll just have to give evidence that the bed has indeed been picked up and Nest will give you a complete refund. Amerisleep Vs Nest Bedding
